Rosehaugh Show, 1934 or 1936
The pictures were taken at the agricultural show at Rosehaugh in 1934 or 1936.
The first picture shows the first use of a rubber-tyred cart in the North of Scotland. It was made by Hossack Cartwright at Davidston, and cost £30 complete. It was entered at teh Show, where the judge, John Mackenzie said “rubber tyres on a farm will never last 6 months”. The cart was given second prize, with first prize going to an old cart with iron wheels.
